Vidisha Bajpai

Vidisha Bajpai is a visual artist, art philanthropist, and art teacher. She graduated with a degree in Mathematics with computer science. Vidisha enjoys spending time with her family, travelling to different places, and trying a variety of cuisines. Since childhood, Vidisha has been fascinated by the beautiful variations of nature, and she often gets immersed in observing the simplest of views, like a ship disappearing into the sunset or hundreds of birds flying together in some geometric patterns. Since she is a self-taught artist, her work is inspired a lot by her surroundings.

Vidisha has worked with abstract art, Indian folk art, Tuscany art, and Floral art in both oil and acrylic media. Her artwork includes various styles like impressionistic using pallet knives, impasto, and fine art. Vidisha enjoys experimenting with art inspired by different cultures and heritages. For the last few years, she has been practicing Indian Folk Art called “Madhubani”. Madhubani is an ancient form of art practiced in South Asian countries like India, Nepal, and Srilanka.

Artist Statement

I love to stay involved with our community, spreading peace and love through arts and encouraging people to appreciate various art forms. The vast majority of my work is very colorful as I believe that colors bring joy to life, and have the power to fill life with beauty, love, and peace. A continuous inspiration for me is captured in a famous quote from Van Gogh – “I dream of painting and then I paint my dream”. My artwork has also been selected in several juried art shows.
